Admission Criteria

Students must apply for the AnMed Clinical Campus program upon admission to MUSC. After completing the preclerkship phase in Charleston, students will spend their final two years of medical school at AnMed. To be considered for the program, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Students must be accepted into MUSC College of Medicine
  • Students must check that they are interested in the AnMed primary care track on the MUSC supplemental application
  • AnMed accepts 12 students per class
  • Students are eligible for academic scholarships for clinical training in Anderson

Application for the MUSC College of Medicine

The M.D. degree is designed for students who have completed a baccalaureate degree. In special circumstances, some applicants are eligible to apply with 90 semester hours of undergraduate coursework. Applicants must first apply through AMCAS (American Medical College Application Service) and the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) is required.
