Lymphedema is swelling that happens when lymph fluid builds up in your body's connective tissues, often as a side effect of cancer treatment. Lymphedema Symptoms

Lymphedema typically includes these symptoms:

  • Feeling of “fullness” or “tightness” of the affected limb
  • Swelling in your hands, feet, head and neck
  • Decreased flexibility, balance and endurance
  • Difficulty fitting into clothing and shoes

Personalized Care for Lymphedema

We’ll use the best techniques to manage your specific symptoms. You may benefit from:

  • Skin care and exercise programs
  • Manual lymph drainage, a type of gentle massage to stimulate the flow of lymphatic fluid
  • Compression bandaging, or wrapping the legs with stretchable cloth to reduce swelling and provide comfort
  • Equipment to make applying and removing compression garments easier
