AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital is joint venture with HealthSouth, a leading provider of rehabilitation services nationwide. The Rehabilitation Hospital is a 60-bed facility that provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. Our staff is committed to investing the time and effort that it takes to help every patient return to the community with the highest level of independence possible.
Inpatient rehabilitation differs greatly from a skilled nursing facility in that physicians have contact with patients daily, allowing them to evaluate progress more frequently and work with the therapy team to adjust the program. Most patients in our inpatient program receive an average of three hours of therapy each day.
Rehabilitation services can help anyone needing to improve their mobility, speech or self care skills after being affected by a stroke, neurological disorder, orthopedic surgery, brain or spinal cord injury, amputation, chronic arthritis pain, cardiac or respiratory disorder. Talk with your physician about which program or combination is right for you.
AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital is a Joint Commission certified stroke rehabilitation facility and hip fracture facility. And that says a lot. For the patient, it means we offer the highest standards of patient care and our staff is some of the most experienced and qualified in stroke and hip fracture rehabilitation services.
Our hospital is also a Parkinson's Foundation of the Heartland - Proficient Facility.
This accreditation was developed by Parkinson's Foundation of the Heartland to educate health care providers and assist them in delivering quality care to people with Parkinson’s disease.
As a Parkinson's proficient facility, our hospital has a specially trained in caring for those with Parkinson's disease. Most teams consist of a speech language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, dietician and several nurses. Each team member has completed and passed rigorous exams on all units of the Parkinson Care Series including nutrition, speech, emotional health, treatments and medications, daily living, exercise, and fall prevention.
AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital uses the Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation (UDSMR), the rehabilitation industry's most widely recognized outcomes measurement tool, to monitor overall patient outcomes. This system measures the effectiveness of our hospitals' rehabilitation programs by evaluating and tracking a patient's functional status upon admission, discharge and post-discharge to document the level of disability and to assess the effectiveness of rehabilitation. UDSMR also allows HealthSouth to benchmark its rehabilitation hospitals against regional and national performance data.
AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital has received top recognition from UDSMR for the fourth time. AnMed Health has ranked in the top 10 percent of qualifying rehabilitation hospitals for 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 and 2007.
