When cancer attacks the body, it doesn’t just affect your physical well-being. Cancer also affects patients mentally and spiritually. At AnMed Health, we’re not just treating a disease. We’re treating a person. From support groups to pet therapy and oncology rehabilitation, the Cancer Center offers patients and their families a wide range of programs that can help with every phase of treatment and recovery.
Below are a few of the services that AnMed Health Cancer Center provides to its patients.
- Oncology Dietician
If you need assistance with poor appetite, taste changes, difficulty swallowing, weight loss or gain, nausea and vomiting, or need education materials. Call (864) 512-4697 for information
Patient Resource Coordinator
The Coordinator will work with patients in collaboration with clinical staff to establish connections to resources that supplement and enhance the overall treatment and well being of the patient. Call (864) 512-4111 for information.
Chair Yoga Classes
Join other patients for chair yoga as a virtual teacher leads through the exercise. Chair yoga is a gentle class practiced from a seated position and will help with relaxation, improved strength, better breathing, improved sleep, and enhanced balance between body, mind and spirit. Beginning June 20th, the class will be held on Tuesdays from 12:30 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. in the Cancer Center third floor conference room. Call (864) 512-4636 to register.
- Nurse Navigators
The Cancer Center Support Services Department is dedicated to help cancer patients in many ways. Nurse Navigators walk with patients along their journey and provide resources to aid in the fight against cancer. Contact your physician or doctor's office to find out who your Nurse Navigator is.
