When cancer attacks the body, it doesn’t just affect your physical well-being. Cancer also affects patients mentally and spiritually. At AnMed Health, we’re not just treating a disease. We’re treating a person. From support groups to pet therapy and oncology rehabilitation, the Cancer Center offers patients and their families a wide range of programs that can help with every phase of treatment and recovery.
Knowledge is Power
The Cancer Learning Center offers free information on cancer and survivorship to patients, cancer survivors, their family and friends. Our "Grab 'N' Go" items include booklets, brochures, pamphlets, journals and handbooks. Topics include specific tumor site information and dealing with cancer. Other materials available by check-out through our Lending Library computer system include textbooks, cookbooks, treatment guides, survivor stories, video cassette tapes and DVDs. These are available for check-out for up to two weeks.
The Cancer Learning Center also features a "Book of the Month" and a "Display of the Month." Each one focuses on a specific cancer-related topic or a designated national cancer awareness month.
