Camp Gonna-Be-Well

Our staff makes Camp Gonna-Be-Well like a second home for children and their families. There are 22 private rooms, each with a sleeping space for a parent. The playroom helps make your child’s stay as fun as possible.

Who Will Care for My Child?

When your child comes to Camp Gonna-Be-Well, they will receive care from a pediatric hospitalist until they leave. Pediatric hospitalists are board-certified pediatricians who focus solely on caring for children while they are in the hospital. These doctors treat children (including newborns) as they heal after:

  • Infections
  • Injuries or surgery
  • Respiratory or chronic illnesses

Through a partnership with Prisma Health Children's Hospital, pediatric hospitalists are onsite 24/7. You could call them our "camp counselors."

In addition, our nurses, respiratory therapists and other clinical staff are also specially trained to care for pediatric patients. The entire pediatric staff is trained in PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), empowering them to care for your child in an emergency.

Visitation Guidelines

One parent or guardian can stay with your child in their hospital room. Other visitors should keep in mind:

  • No more than three people in a room at a time
  • Visits by children younger than 14 aren’t allowed, except for a patient's siblings
  • Visits should be limited to 15 minutes
