Tuition and Expenses

Tuition for the 2023-25 educational program is $3,400 per year. This tuition is payable as follows:

  • $100 upon acceptance into the program (non-refundable) 
  • $3,300 at the beginning of the first year as a single payment or in three payments ($1,100 due on July 1, August 1 and September 1) 
  • $3,400 prior to starting the second year

The Radiologic Technology Program does not participate in federal loan programs (Title IV).

Refund Policy
The following refund policy is available for first year tuition if a student voluntarily withdraws from the program with notice. The $100 admission fee is non-refundable.

  • Students who pay the full $3,300 first year tuition:
    • Withdrawal between July 1 and September 30 - $1,650
    • Withdrawal between October 1 and December 31 - $825
    • Withdrawal between January 1 and June 30 - No refund due

  • Students who use the payment plan for the first year tuition:
    • Withdrawal between July 1 and July 31 - No refund due
    • Withdrawal between August 1 and August 31 - $550
    • Withdrawal between September 1 and September 30 - $1,650
    • Withdrawal between October 1 and December 31 - $825
    • Withdrawal between January 1 and June 30 - No refund due

Second year tuition is refunded as follows if a student voluntarily withdraws from the program with notice. Students pay $3,400 second year tuition. There is no payment plan.

  • Withdrawal between July 1 and September 30 - $1,650
  • Withdrawal between October 1 and December 31 - $825
  • Withdrawal between January 1 and June 30 - No refund due

 

Textbooks and Uniforms
Textbooks and uniforms are selected by the program faculty. A list of required textbooks is provided. Students are responsible for purchasing textbooks and designated uniforms for the two years.

  • Approximate cost for required textbooks $1,200
  • Trajecsys Report System $150 
  • Approximate cost for uniforms and shoes $500-$600

Extracurricular Functions

Extracurricular functions such as student seminars are recommended. Students are responsible for expenses involved in attending extracurricular activities.

Membership in the South Carolina Society of Radiologic Technologists is required. The 2023-2024 membership fee is $25 and is payable in July 2023. Membership in the American Society of Raiologic Technologists is required. The 2024-2025 membership fee is $35 and is payable in August 2024.

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

Students will pay the fee set by the ARRT to take his or her National Certification/Registry Exam after graduation. The estimated cost of this fee is $225.

SCRQSA (South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association)

As required by law, a second year student who is employed as a limited-radiographer must pay a fee of $50 to the SCRQSA for certification. This fee is payable after July 1, 2024 if the student chooses an available employment option as a limited-radiographer.
