The reason is that the vaccine prevents you from getting severe disease from COVID-19, but what we don’t know is if it protects you from spreading it to other people. So there’s a distinct possibility that people who had the vaccine still carry the virus and can infect other people even though they are not sick. And that’s why it’s really important to continue to wear the mask until many, many, many people have been vaccinated.

As vaccine rollout continues across the country and the world, we are approaching the possibilityof a return to normalcy.
