An obstetrician/gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a physician who delivers babies and treats medical conditions related to a woman’s reproductive organs.

Most women start to see an OB-GYN in their late teens or early 20s. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, women should start getting annual Pap smears, which screen for cervical cancer and other problems, at age 21. Women ages 21 to 29 should get a Pap every year, while women ages 30 to 64 should be tested every other year (or as often as your doctor recommends).

AnMed Health’s OB-GYNs are highly skilled in all areas of women’s health – performing robot-assisted, minimally-invasive surgeries and delivering more than 2,000 babies every year.
