Quality Outcomes

The physicians and staff at AnMed Health Heart and Vascular Center share a strong commitment to providing excellent care.

AnMed Health Medical Center has earned recognition for 2021 Gold with Get With The Guidelines®-Heart Failure Quality Achievement Award- for their commitment to managing heart failure in patients.

AnMed Health Medical Center has been recognized as an accredited "Chest Pain Center with PCI" by the American College of Cardiology. Hospitals must meet or exceed a wide set of stringent criteria and demonstrate commitment to reducing the time it takes to provide treatment to a patient experiencing chest pain and other signs of a heart attack, and increasing the accuracy and effectiveness of treatment. Accredited Chest Pain Centers also work in the community they serve to promote and encourage lifestyles that support a healthier heart.

AnMed Health received the American College of Cardiology Foundation's 2020 NCDR ACTION Registry-GWTG Platinum Performance Achievement Award. The award recognizes hospitals that provide a higher standard of care for heart attack patients. It signifies that AnMed Health has reached an aggressive goal of treating heart attack patients to the levels of care outlined by the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association.

AnMed Health also earned the American Heart Association's Mission: Lifeline Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award for implementing a higher standard of care and improving the survival and outcomes for patients suffering from the most severe form of heart attack, a STEMI (ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction).

AnMed Health compares well to the top 10 percent of hospitals nationwide. We also encourage patients to compare AnMed Health's quality of care on Hospital Compare, a quality tool provided by Medicare.

  • According to quality data submitted to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, AnMed Health's mortality rate for heart attack patients is a mere 2.11 percent- substantially better than the national average of 4.6 percent.
  • AnMed Health scores consistently higher on all treatment guidelines for heart attack and heart failure patients

Becker’s Hospital Review has named AnMed Health as one of the top 25 hospitals in the nation with “great” heart programs. These hospitals have pioneered groundbreaking procedures and continue to lead the nation in cardiovascular care. Becker’s specifically lauded the sheer amount of open heart surgeries that AnMed Health’s cardiology team performs on an annual basis.
